The “tempo” in the winery is given by the sound of a bell that once was on the tower of the old Church Madonna della Sapienza located not far away from the winery. Built in the 16th century over the ruins of a roman ciceronian school, it was destroyed during world war II. The Archbishop was looking for a new place to build a new church. The Curatolo family donated the land and the new church of Mater Sapientae Usus (Sappusi) was built. In memory of this event the Archbishop gave us the bell.
